Rita is a pair of soft and practical lace-up winter snow boots inspired by the late 1930s and 1940s. These boots feature a rounded moccasin toe and a breathable, soft wool lining that ensures warmth and comfort. The ankle-high shaft offers a slim fit, complemented by six angular metal eyelets for the cotton laces.
Crafted from full-grain, naturally structured leather, these boots have sturdy rubber outsoles and wooden heels with rubber top soles. The rubber soles provide excellent protection in wet weather, while silicone inserts beneath the leather insoles offer optimal cushioning.
The boots are handcrafted.
The shoe box includes an extra pair of laces and a set of plastic toplifts.

Wide or Regular - Which width to choose if both are available? Wide styles are two sizes up in width compared to the regular size. I recommend choosing wide shoes if you usually buy wide-style shoes. My wide styles are an EEE size.

They fit very well and have such a lovely colour. This is really “What you see is what you get” and even a little more. Nicely packed, fast shipment, comfortable shoes.
These are so warm and comfortable. I live in Alaska and it frequently gets to be -10/-20 some days on my way in to work and these worked great when paired with a pair of fleece lined tights. They also held up fairly well on the icy sidewalks/streets. Overall definitely worth it!
I found they fit true to size to a normal winter boot/cowboy boot.

These shoes received quite a trial by fire; when they came in the mail temps were down to 10 F without the windchill. Even so, my feet stayed nice and warm! They were comfortable almost immediately and needed little to no breaking in. The tongue is sewn in to keep it from sliding to the side (this also keeps snow from getting in), and there is a loop at the back to help you get them on. Customer service is so prompt and helpful! As for the sizing, I typically wear a size 7, but the size chart predicted a size 6. I ended up ordering both just in case, and the 7 is what fit, so I’d recommend going with your usual size. The return process was very smooth. 100% recommend both these shoes and this company and I hope to be back!

Does anyone know…Can Rita boots be re-soled and re- heeled ?
Hi Tilly. Thank you for the kind review. Our Rita boots can easily be re-heeled. You can either use the extra pair of heels that comes with the shoes, or you can take them to a cobbler and have them do it.
