I had been looking for a ‘40’s/‘50’s style boot for a long time and was so happy to find this company. Love my Maria boots. Size US 6 fits well. I would change one thing though- I wish the wool on them looked more like the curly lambs wool rather faux fur. A word of caution to Canadian buyers- customs charge was $106. Please Memery, work something better out for Canadian shoppers. You are very talented

I love the styles of the 1940s, but it is nearly impossible to find vintage shoes that fit my size 9.5 narrow foot and can be worn...such shoes are too fragile. Even though I have to purchase a size 10, these boots have hidden laces under the fur collar that provide the extra measure of fit for narrow feet. I love these boots!

The Maria boots are very beautiful and warm, and they fit vintage style perfectly. The leather of the boots is a little lumpy on top, but I don't mind. The lining is white, so it shows a little in the black shoes. The lining could be black too, at least in the top part. The shoes are very soft and they don't rub my feet at all. However, the lining is so slippery that my feet slide to the toe and make my toes ache. I don't have the sliding problem in my Esther shoes. I have the Esther XL shoe in size EU 37 and the Maria boot in size EU 38, because Maria is a little narrower due to not being XL size. Maria 38 is a little too long for my feet, but the closure is so sturdy that the boots don't flap at all. Overall I love the appearance of the Maria boots and the fact that they don't rub my feet, but for some reason they make my feet slide to the toe which makes walking a little uncomfortable. Though not so uncomfortable that I wouldn't use them! I just need to take breaks. I wish Memery would make more XL wide shoes. Thanks!

I've been wanting these for some time but was unsure about the sizing since I am between sizes.
I decided to take the plunge and sized down after reading reviews and the size chart and I am glad I did because a size up would not have been stable for my ankles.
I would not advise to do the same if you have wider feet though !
They are very comfy and feel like a pillow, my feet are well held in these and I've only worn them once since it's been a few days only and I had to wait the water repellent to dry but it feels like I can walf for hours in these.
I am not very 50s but more keen to earlier styles but these still are my favorite comfort and stability wise compared to some other repro booties with fur I have with a look closer to my style.
I also like the 2 buttons option which may come handy if I wear them with very thick socks even if unlikely in my climate, the shoes themsleves are warm enough to be honest.

I'd been waiting for these to come into stock for months! When they finally came back in stock I didn't hesitate. Its my birthday in October so treated it as an early present. Since they arrived ive been wearing them whenever I can! Theyre so warm and comfortable. I have now purchased 4 pairs of shoes/boots/sandals from Memery - they are wonderful. First of all I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of all the shoes, they really are so well made from first class leather and trimmings. I love the style. Yes they are based on vintage styles but they are also elegant and comfortable and go well with today's fashions. I can highly recommend them for anyone who prefers something a little different to what you can get on the high street...

this was my first purchase by Memery Shoes and I couldn't be happier and more satisfied than this!
These shoes are simply perfect! They fit nicely and keep my feet warm all day. Walking in these shoes is like magic, also thanks to the ergonomic insole. The overlook is simply delightful.

I this is my 4th pair of memery footwear,the quality is amazing,I do have to stretch the shoes as they are fairly narrow fit,but soon become comfortable.
I got these boots from my husband for xmas,so had to close my eyes when I tried them on,they fit really well & won't need stretching, my cousin who first put me on to memery shoes & does 1940s loves them too.
