Soft early 1950s ankle boots with a crossed strap.

Maria is a pair of booties inspired by the early 1950s. They feature a round toe cap and a sturdy 5.5 cm / 2,2 in heel. The upper is made from very soft full-grain leather, and the off-white wool lining inside provides both warmth and comfort. Soft silicone inserts beneath the insoles ensure exceptional cushioning, while the rubber outsoles make these booties perfect for wet weather.

The boots are fastened with two outer buttons, offering flexibility for different foot shapes and sizes. Inside, hidden laces make them easy to adjust and secure.

The boots are handcrafted.

The shoe box includes an extra pair of laces and a set of plastic toplifts.

Very happy!

So well made! Elegant, lovely leather, beautiful, very warm, comfortable, and I expect to be able to wear them with any dressy clothing, vintage or modern, for many seasons. I would rarely buy a heel in a winter boot, but this one is as comfortable and stable as a heel can be. The one thing I would change on a redesign is, I would carry the black color further down in the inner ankle. When you flex your ankle, you can see the white fleece inner lining peeking out. Otherwise, very nearly perfect! I have a narrow instep so I like the hidden lacing for a snug fit and the two snap positions options for the strap. True to size in EU 42/US 11. Fast delivery time. These weren’t available in my hard-to-find size when I first saw them last year, glad I checked back!

Winter booties

Love these wool lined bootees. Have to confess I accidentally ordered the wrong ones. However I loved them so much when they arrived I decided to keep them. So well made. Beautiful leather and comfy. Memery shoes etc are now my go to company for beautiful vintage styles.

Perfect fit

These lovely warm ankle boots fit perfectly (I followed the sizing advice). They’re beautifully made and the non-slip sole gives confidence if it’s slippery under foot. Really pleased.

Maria boots

I had been looking for a ‘40’s/‘50’s style boot for a long time and was so happy to find this company. Love my Maria boots. Size US 6 fits well. I would change one thing though- I wish the wool on them looked more like the curly lambs wool rather faux fur. A word of caution to Canadian buyers- customs charge was $106. Please Memery, work something better out for Canadian shoppers. You are very talented

Comfy stylish cold weather Maria boots

I love the styles of the 1940s, but it is nearly impossible to find vintage shoes that fit my size 9.5 narrow foot and can be worn...such shoes are too fragile. Even though I have to purchase a size 10, these boots have hidden laces under the fur collar that provide the extra measure of fit for narrow feet. I love these boots!
