I really love the shoes, how they look, feel, fit. No issues with delivery and a very pretty box (my cats were also big fans of the stuffing material).
Before buying one should be aware that they are not easy shoes to get in or out of as one (or atleast I) need to open almost the entire lacing before my foot will fit in. But overall those are some 10 minutes I'm more than willing to sacrifice in the morning!
As someone who often falls between EU39/40 I ordered 40 and they fit really comfortably, especially because you can pull the lacing quite tight. When wearing thicker socks one should take care not to have any folds in them, because that could lead to uncomfortable pressure.
They're still too new to say much about durability, especially of the lace itself. But it was nice that the box included some spare ones!
I ordered them in black and they look pretty much exactly as pictured above. So far they are well worth the money!

We want our boots to be as true to the original design as possible, which is why we only have lacing and no zippers. It does take time at the beginning, but we promise you it will become easier in time when you get the hang of it.

Very good shoes, comfortable from the get-go. Still getting used to the lacing, and could wish they came with a little rubber sole already. Other than that, I'm pleased as punch!
Hi Maria. Thank you for the kind words on our Ruth boots and for the lovely review. Our shoes are based on true design, which includes leather soles, just like they had back then. If you regularly treat the soles with leather care, they should hold up great, but it is also easy for a cobbler to add a pair of rubber soles if you like. Best Ditte
Beautiful shoes, very comfortable
I'm so pleased with these! I honestly didn't know if I would be able to see any difference between high-quality shoes and the footwear I usually wear, but I absolutely can...these are very well-made, comfortable, stylish, and unusual. I will definitely be buying more shoes from this site.

The quality and style of the shoes is excellent. Unfortunately even the wide fit was too slim for my feet at the correct length, so had to send back.

Put these boots on for the very first time and wore them all day long.
I have a UK size 9/10 and ordered the size 12 wide.
These boots are super comfy and the leather is soft around my fat ankles and does not dig into my skin.
I wore them with wool tights and a cotton prairie style dress.
I will certainly come back for more shoes.

I was really nervous about the sizing being off especially since I ordered a wide size but I was overjoyed at how well they fit! Boots are never normally comfortable for me due to how narrow they are so its nice having something that doesn't hurt. The feel of the boots are so soft and durable and the fact it comes with replacement laces, eyelets, and heel plates is such a plus and just really shows how good a quality item they are.
